An experiential moment in Lonna island
Lonna Sauna is a public island sauna located on Lonna Island, just a short ferry ride from Helsinki Market Square. The sauna offers a calm archipelago experience and is a tribute to traditional Finnish sauna culture in a unique seaside setting.
The sauna features two wood-fired loft-style saunas and shared mixed-gender sauna sessions. Guests change in separate facilities, with an additional gender-neutral option available. Each sauna session lasts two hours, and the sauna is open from Tuesday to Saturday. The atmosphere is relaxed and respectful, with an emphasis on sauna etiquette and a peaceful environment for all visitors.
A spacious terrace offers views of the surrounding archipelago and a place to cool down between sauna sessions. The sauna area is licensed, and drinks are available on site.
Advance booking is recommended, although walk-ins are possible when space is available. The sauna fee includes basic sauna supplies, and towels can be rented separately. Swimming in the sea is possible, though visitors are advised to take care due to the rocky shoreline and boat traffic nearby.
Lonna Sauna combines authentic Finnish sauna tradition with a peaceful island atmosphere just outside Helsinki.
