An experiential moment in Lapinlahde

Lähteen Sauna (Lapinlahden Lähde) is a historic and community-based seaside sauna located in the Lapinlahti area of Helsinki, next to the former hospital grounds. The sauna is set in a peaceful, park-like environment by the sea, close to the city center.

It offers a traditional wood-heated Finnish sauna experience with the opportunity to cool off by the sea. The sauna bench accommodates around ten people at a time, and the bathing time is typically limited to two hours. The sauna building is one of the oldest still-operating public saunas in Helsinki.

Lähteen Sauna operates as part of the Lapinlahden Lähde community, which emphasizes safety, respectful sauna culture, and a sense of togetherness.

Payments are made at Café Lähde during café opening hours. At other times, payment can be made directly to the sauna host in exact cash or via MobilePay. The sauna fee grants access for a maximum of 2 hours.
