PechaKucha Night – 4 September 2026

As part of Helsinki Design Week, PechaKucha Night brings a unique evening of short, visual presentations to Ritarihuone in Helsinki on Friday, 4 September 2026. Originally developed by Japanese architects, the international PechaKucha format has since spread to more than 2,000 cities around the world.

The concept is simple: each speaker presents 20 images, with each image shown for exactly 20 seconds. This means every presentation lasts precisely 6 minutes and 40 seconds, creating a fast-paced and visually engaging evening full of unexpected ideas and perspectives.

There are no strict rules about the topics. Over the years, PechaKucha Night presentations have covered everything from road signs and spas to structural racism, giraffes, kitchen renovations, and artificial intelligence designing a sailing boat. The wide variety of subjects is what makes every evening unique.

All presentations are held in English, making the event an international and lively meeting point for ideas, creativity, and storytelling.
