An experiential moment in Mustikkamaa island
Mustikkamaa Beach is a soft-sand, nature-surrounded beach located in the Mustikkamaa outdoor recreation area, near the Kumpula and Kalasatama districts of Helsinki. It is easily accessible on foot via bridges from both nearby metro stations, with a walking time of about 30 minutes. The beach is especially popular among those looking for a quieter alternative to Helsinki’s more crowded urban beaches.
The beach is supervised by lifeguards during the swimming season, ensuring a safe environment for visitors. Basic services are available on site, including changing shelters, showers, toilets, and a small kiosk container. In addition, the surrounding Mustikkamaa recreation area offers a wide range of outdoor activities and opportunities for leisure close to the beach.
Visitors can reach the beach on foot, by public transport, or by city bike. There is also a nearby parking area located on Mustikkamaantie, although it is not accessible for people with reduced mobility.
