Helsinki Design Week takes place 28 August – 6 September 2026 and is the largest design festival in the Nordic countries. Founded in 2005, the festival brings together the latest ideas in design, architecture, fashion, and urban culture, attracting both industry professionals and design enthusiasts from around the world.
The festival features around 150 events each year, including exhibitions, workshops, talks, open studios, design markets, installations, and city-wide events. Held across various locations in Helsinki, many of the events are open to the public. The programme also includes HDW Children's Design Week, offering creative experiences for younger visitors.
Helsinki Design Week is a unique opportunity to discover contemporary design, meet inspiring creatives, and experience Helsinki as one of Europe's leading cities for design and architecture.
