Haltia – Finnish Nature Centre

Haltia – Finnish Nature Centre is located in Espoo next to Nuuksio National Park, just around a 30-minute drive from Helsinki. Haltia serves as a gateway to Finnish nature, offering visitors a chance to discover Finland’s national parks, hiking trails and natural diversity all under one roof.

The exhibitions explore Finnish nature throughout the seasons, as well as the landscapes of Finland’s national parks and nature destinations around the Helsinki metropolitan area. The exhibitions use videos, interactive elements and artworks, complemented by immersive sound and lighting. Haltia also organises guided tours, excursions, courses, workshops and various nature-themed events throughout the year.

Haltia is also home to Restaurant Haltia, a nature shop and outdoor equipment rental service. The centre has an accessible viewing platform, campfire sites and direct access to the extensive hiking trails of Nuuksio. Haltia is a great starting point for a day in nature or a destination in its own right, combining exhibitions, outdoor activities and good food.
